gorgeous photos! I always love seeing your new posts :)
Thanks Anita. I should really post more often! I will strive to do better in the future (I know I always say this, but this time for real hahah(
What stunning photos, oh my! I see so many photos people take on planes, but I have to say by far yours has got to be one of the best ones :)
Thanks Stephanie! Oh gosh, this was taken during a trans-Pacific flight (at this point I think we were over Alaska). I am pretty sure I was half delirious and mostly still dreaming as I watched the sun rise and snapped away obnoxiously with my camera hahahah.
Wow amazing photos!!
Glad you like them Farrah!
These photos are gorgeous! Especially the second last one, with the light.
Sunrises are best seen at high altitude xD
Really magical pictures. The one taken on the plane is definitely my favourite.
Your pictures are like magic. I adore how you managed to photograph the stars.
I have a whole story about the stars. My friends and I decided to drive a couple hours out onto the mountain top. There we lay down on an observation tower and waited for the clouds to clear up and the moon to set. It was a really magical kind of place. Dead silent, foggy, magnificent.
i LOVE that last photo of the stars, i've tried to take photos like that before but i've never been in a place with so little artificial light that it's actually turned out good enough. and the one of the clouds out the plane window is beautiful too.little henry lee
Thanks Jessica! Right, you have to drive out REALLY far if you want to see that hahha. There is a good light pollution map that I use to figure out where those locations are: http://www.jshine.net/astronomy/dark_sky/
Stunning, stunning photography, I can't seem to express in words how good all your pictures look! The clouds on the second to last picture look surreal!
pretty pics :)
I particularly like the picture of the clouds - feels like heaven :)
These pictures. are so. gorgeous. These are incredible!Jessica | Vixenelle ☾
That's beautiful Liz, where are those mountains ? I love them !
Thanks Narumi! These mountains are in Mt. Huangshan in Anxi, China.
stunning pictures! I especially love the one with the lanterns <3 Did you use a digital camera and if so, what settings/lense did you use to capture the stars so beautifully? xmoira
Hey Moira, I am glad you liked the pictures! I did use a digital camera (Nikon D7000) and a 50 mm lens. The settings i used were: exposure 30 seconds, f-stop 1.8, iso 1000. Hope that helps!
thank you for the help, i wrote it down in my phone for when i get the chance to catch a clear night sky (doesn't happen that often here in Ireland). i never thought you could do that with a 50mm! Your words and pictures are so touching, hope your heart doesn't get too heavy, hugs x
stunning photos. where were they taken?
Hi Petra sorry for not responding sooner. I took these in China at Mt. Huangshan in the Anxi province =)
There are spectacular! What beautiful photos. The lanterns & the starry sky are my favorites, but you are so talented that they are all amazing! Just founf your blog and am so happy I did :)www.thisanalogadventure.com
Thank you so much Jessica! I am glad you like them hahaha I am truly flattered <3
Oh my your blog is absolutely gorgeous. I love these stunning photographs!
I really hate it how sometimes we all witness a spectacular and majestic view, like a mountain range that goes on for miles and miles and miles, but can never capture how grand it is with a camera. Your photos though, I almost feel like I'm standing at the peak of the mountains and feeling like a dwarf. You have no idea how much I admire your photography. Hope to hear again from you soon :)
No I completely agree - even though I am very happy with my current camera...there is something ELSE about a landscape that just doesn't let itself be captured. I think that is why I love mountains so much.
